A shooting was reported in Renton, Washington, in the United States on Saturday (local time), according to the Renton Police Department, resulting in three casualties. Officers are investigating the incident and have advised the public to steer clear of the active scene.
A police representative confirmed to local media that there was a shooting and three people had been killed. “This is an active scene, so expect a heavy police presence. Please avoid the area,” said the Renton police department.

The shooting occurred near Kirkland Avenue Northeast and Northeast 18th Street shortly after 7:30 pm on Saturday night. Renton police said the suspect has not yet been traced. Further details are awaited.
This came after a 52-year-old man was critically injured when unidentified men fired shots at him at the Renton Transit Centre on July 11. He is still recovering from his injuries and is now in stable condition. Two 20-year-olds and an 18-year-old were apprehended in the case.
Renton’s Transit Centre, a bustling hub at 233 Burnett Avenue South, has been the site of prior shootings, including a February 2025 incident where a 17-year-old suspect was arrested after injuring a man, according to local reports.
