At least 11 people were hospitalised after being stabbed at a Walmart in Traverse City. The officials have taken one suspect in the custody, reported AP, citing authorities.
Munson Healthcare, northern Michigan’s largest healthcare system, was informed about the incident and said that 11 people were being treated at the hospital, with all being the victims of stabbing.
She did not immediately have information on their conditions. Munson Healthcare said it would provide updates “as appropriate.”
Meanwhile, following the attack, a Facebook user has claimed that the suspect was a ‘foreign guy’, who ” lost it on random people in the produce and grocery area”.
However, the authorities believe that the suspect is a Michigan resident.
The Facebook post from a social Amber Paull, which was also shared by Laura Loomer, on X, read, “A foreign guy just lost it on random people in the produce and grocery area. An African American guy pulled a hero move and pulled his pistol out and tried to get him to stop but then people screamed and workers said run so the guy slipped out in the crowd. Old woman, and a child for sure were stabbed along with many more.”
