Tiffany Fong Recreates Sydney Sweeney’s American Eagle Ad
Influencer Tiffany Fong shared a video recreating Sydney Sweeney and the controversial American Eagle ad. She is wearing a head-to-toe yellow denim ensemble. In the video, she is eating rice with chopsticks, calling it an Asian version of the American ad.
“Handed down by my parents before me and their parents before them, my genes are yellow,” she said and also clarified that there is no wordplay here as she only meant ‘jeans’ and not ‘genes’.
Sydney Sweeney in the controversial American Eagle advertisement said, “Genes are passed down from parents to offspring, often determining traits like hair colour, personality and even eye colour, personality and even eye colour. My genes are blue,” Sweeney said.
After the ad triggered an outrage, American Eagle defended its campaign and said that it is only about jeans.
Who Is Tiffany Fong?
Tiffany Fong, a cryptocurrency influencer, gained attention after reportedly she denied to bear Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s baby.
Fong had created a social media buzz last year after Elon Musk started to follow her on X, days after he started liking and commenting on her posts. This sent a wave of followers to Fong’s account, with Musk himself having a massive 219 million X followers.
Musk’s following opened a financial floodgate for Fong, who gained followers and reach, which resulted in more earnings for her as part of a revenue-sharing program for creators on X.
A report by the Wall Street Journal mentioned that during the peak of her interaction with the Tesla CEO, Fong earned $21,000 over a two-week period in November.
The report also adds that Elon Musk had reached out to multiple women with an offer to have a child with him around that time. He also approached Tiffany. However, when she turned down the offer, Musk unfollowed her on X.
