The cafe, celebrated for its pink-and-white interiors and artisan desserts, had recently held a soft launch when, late Sunday night, it was attacked by gunfire.
Shots were fired at comedian and actor Kapil Sharma’s cafe in Canada on Thursday, second such incident in a month.
The cafe, owned by comedian Kapil Sharma and his wife Ginni Chatrath in Surrey, British Columbia, was attacked earlier on July 11. Authorities believe it is a targeted strike by the Laddi gang linked to the banned Khalistani terrorist outfit Babbar Khalsa International (BKI).
Last week, the cafe hosted Surrey mayor Brenda Lock and local policemen.
In a post on Instagram, Kapil Sharma shared a video clip of the get-together and wrote, “United we stand against violence.”
