A chilling video of moments when Iryna Zarutska, a 23-year-old Ukrainian refugee, was stabbed to death by a career criminal has now emerged on social media platforms.
The video shows Zarutska sitting on the seat of the light rail, which she boarded at 9:46 PM on August 22. At first, she can be seen scrolling on her phone. Minutes later, the accused, sitting right behind her seat, stands up, pulls out a folding knife, and stabs her three times.
The man, identified as 34-year-old Decarlos Brown Jr, then walks through the rail car and stands near the door and gets off at the next stop.

The clip was shared on Friday by the Charlotte Area Transit System.
According to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, Brown has been taken into custody and charged with first-degree murder.
Notably, Brown has a criminal background and was also arrested in January this year for misusing 911. Police reportedly stated he had requested a bizarre welfare check, claiming that a “man-made” material implanted in his body was controlling his actions, including his eating, speech, and movement.
He has been arrested several times, having a criminal history dating back to as early as 2011. In the past, he has been arrested for several charges, including larceny, robbery with a dangerous weapon, and communicating threats, as reported by WSOC-TV.
Meanwhile, the officials are yet to ascertain the motive behind the most recent attack.
