Umar Saifi, who ran as Simran guide’s in the women’s 200m T12 at the World Para Athletics Championships held in New Delhi last week, has been named in National Anti-Doping Agency’s list of athletes provisionally suspended for doping.
The 20-year-old had helped Simran retain her 100 metre T12 gold and bag a silver medal in the 200m T12 in the recently concluded championships.
Saifi’s name was mentioned in the list of suspended athletes published by NADA on October 9, mentioning that he had used Drostanolone.
