Chinese President Xi Jinping on Sunday stressed on the necessity for India and China to “come together” and “be friends” in a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the sidelines of the SCO Summit in Tianjin.
Xi also called upon India to handle the New Delhi-Beijing relations from “long-term perspective” and voiced his support for a “multipolar world”, in an apparent message to the United States which opposes the idea of multipolarity of power centres in the globe.
